hi! i'm not sure how to look at the "four generations down" rule when it comes to breeding dragons and i'm kinda confused as i made a graph of the family tree and i'm just. brain fried. no brain cells. i need someone to tell me if i will be able to breed some dragons. i think i should be able to but i've already made a mistake of buying several dragons thinking i could breed them, only to find out i couldn't lol. rookie mistake. the issue here is that i have an imaginary, potential dragon so i can't really check for compatibility since it doesn't exist yet. here's the genealogy tree i made to make it easier to figure stuff out: [img]https://img001.prntscr.com/file/img001/vsFBHG-jSHywz7S9T0FfAQ.png[/img] i'm looking into breeding Tarine, who is entirely unrelated to the tree and Faeg, who has some relation. *then,* i want to breed the ??? with Unnamed. will that be possible?

If you go here, and input the ID numbers of the dragons, the site will tell you if they can breed! It's so much easier than trying to plot it by hand.

EDIT: I missed the part where the dragon doesn't exist yet, my bad! You should be able to breed ??? and Unnamed, if I did my math correctly. But I would have someone else corroborate.

it's five generations (not counting the final child) unless you're using the grandfather glitch*. in your chart, ??? is five generations removed from iris. this means ??? shouldn't be related to iris at all, and can breed with iris' relatives provided iris is the only familial link. *[img]https://f2.toyhou.se/file/f2-toyhou-se/images/87610520_fBxNamxv1ViMH5Q.png[/img] the dragon at the bottom, Meena, can only breed with the dragons in green: the [b]grandfathers[/b]' four [b]grandparents[/b] on both sides. she can likewise breed with any other direct descendants of those green dragons, provided the only link to them is via her two grandfathers. this is because the generation checker (mistakenly) skips those. this is a bug that has, to date, never been fixed. to demonstrate, feel free to put [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/70328592]meena[/url] and one such [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/2847295]grandfather's grandparent[/url] in [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/scrying/assay]assay bloodlines[/url]. compare to the [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/2630232]grandmother's grandparent[/url], with which she is related. go up one more generation for either of them and they're all unrelated
