The best place to check for prices for everything that doesn't include off-site trading is the Auction House. Not only is that what a buyer is likely looking at but it's also where your competition is. If nothing shows up extend your search parameters or check Items for Sale/Auctions for previous sales. Please tell your friend.

Reasoning: obs/obs/X is a commonly desired combo that's been heavily bred forever. You could also look up XXY prices or scroll through all 7 digits for sale and compare color/offspring list as well.

Reasoning: maize/x/maize is fairly uncommon but XYX is not. Pick through that or again, scroll through all 7 digits for sale and compare color/offspring lists as well.
