More accurately, I got a grand total of maybe 5 gears from my last five gathering turns.... and they dropped one at a time. Is.... that supposed to happen, or do I just have extraordinarily bad luck?

crystalchimes unfortunately it's just bad luck, well within possible outcomes. fest currency isn't guaranteed, and RNG can be a fickle beast. :/

Have you tried brewing them in Baldwin's? That's what I had to do last time because work was so intense at the time and I couldn't play in the coli enough.
