As someone addicted to skydancers and spirals and who goes through insects at 3x the normal rate, and has an overabundance of meat and plants, I love and fully support this idea.

I like this idea a lot better than other feeding suggestions, as this is simpler than other options I've read, and allows a user to decide what stores to distribute.
The toggle option feels like it's more work, whether you have to toggle food preferences for each dragon or across all breeds.
The picky eaters eating first, option, doesn't solve the issue of too many dragons feeding on one food type, if, let's say, you still have seafood left after your Ridgebacks and Coatls are finished eating, Omivores are still going to eat and deplete seafood first before moving on to other food types.
This "select food type to distribute", lets a user save other food stores that they may have trouble gathering enough of by just saying "Ok, I have a billion of X food. Everyone eat this that can, and then move on to Y."

Absolutely agree. If they aren't going to get around to fixing the food preference bug, this seems to be the best alternative.

Support! Yeah, this sounds like the best idea on this subject so far.
Definitely superior to my current method of running out of all other food types every week so I can force everyone to eat plants for as long as possible. ;)
