welcome! we're here to start ourselves a little RP thread. i'd like to just say i'm super excited to begin! maybe the best first post for each of us is to introduce to the dragons we're planning on having in here. i'm not too worried about if you want to switch them out later or whatever. :) i kinda have no idea what i'm doing but let's DO THIS.

She is not shy, she just dosn't know how to interact with other dragons. She is very polite, and some what reserved. Being a clan progen she thinks she has more resposablity then she actually does, this makes hesitant to go have fun, but if you coax her enough she will go along with any haibrained scheme you can think of.
Being a newbie at this it will probably br her most of the time but I will ocasianaly throw in other dragons as I figure out the flow and balance of how this works.

this is rei, she's pretty young right now but i've got a really pretty skin waiting for her! she's goofy and playful, and while she's very clumsy and comes off as a little insensitive, she never means harm. she's still very young and has a lot to learn, but is turning into an excellent flyer and loves to be exploring, even long after dusk. she'll be the one that i write the most about!

this is voraame. i'm not sure how much i'll write about him, but he met rei within the fire clan and, being much older than her, is sort of an uncle figure to her. he is kind but firm. i think of him as being like tenzin from legend of korra, a guide and a teacher for her. he often rolls his eyes when she's being a little dork.

Setsun is a pretty typical spiral, full of energy with a love for being in the sky and looping around erratically, at full speed of course. Shes carefree to a fault and tends not to think at all before acting and as a result often ends up getting herself, and sometimes those around her, injured or in some other kind of trouble. She is sincere and cheerful, but has very little self-awareness and doesn't realize that her honestly can come across as insensitivity. All of this ends up causing a lot of stress for those she surrounds herself with, especially her brother. She also loves her sky-like colouring and is pretty shamelessly vain about it.

Poor Goo is the victim of unfortunate naming (his parents say "it just felt right") and he's pretty self-conscious about it. Those who know him sometimes teasingly refer to him as "Setsun's Shadow" because he seems to always be following after her, but he's mostly just worried about what will happen to her if he leaves her alone, and rightfully so. He doesn't really posses the same pure spiral energy and gets easily overwhelmed. Chasing after his accident-prone sister has made him learn to see the danger in everything and he's become kind of anxious about pretty much everything as a result. His worries often go unheard as he has a tendency the blend into the background with his relatively quiet personality, especially with Setsun's loudness always drowning him out.
The two are pretty close and almost always together, although many dragons wonder if Setsun really even notices that Goo is there most of the time.

"we need a plan," he declared, "to explore or battle? to go on an adventure? our options are infinite, but it's time for us to begin our story."

The sun shone brilliantly in the sky, which was clear save for a handful of small white clouds dotted here and there. Clouds that were so perfectly fluffy one had to stop and wonder if such a lovely sky could even be real. If any onlookers were thinking such thoughts, they were soon to be disappointed. The first cloud was dashed quite suddenly, appearing as though a line had been slashed through it, though it was hard to yell by what. One by one, each of the remaining clouds suffered the same fate in a predictably circular pattern, some being struck several times.
Up in the sky a sky-coloured spiral grinned with unfiltered glee as she spun through one cloud after another. She continued to go around and around, always increasing her speed. After all what fun was flying if you didn't test your limits? The consequences of taking sharp turns at high speeds never occurred to her as her loops became tighter. She didn't really even have time to register how warped her sense of direction had become as her own long spiral body tangled around her own wing. As she quickly began to lose altitude she struggled to untie herself out, but by the time she had straightened herself it was too late to pull up, too late to even realize which way was up. Setsun, body stretched out like a living missile, was on a crash course under the belly of an imposing imperial, straight toward the small pearlcatcher below.

He's an active practitioner of his native Wind magic, but he's also been Touched by Fire, apparently of his own free will. He's fairly uninhibited and liberal, but also harshly critical - though only towards those in his social circle. He's uncomfortably touch-friendly with Silve, who doesn't seem to notice: there's something painful in him around other dragons, like he's holding himself back from - what?

Silos has been called by so many nicknames in his life that he's almost forgotten what his real name is. Although he has a small immediate family, as soon as he reached adulthood he was snapped up by his relatives and spent a hectic few months with them before being adopted by Waldemar. He's an eternal optimist, and almost curiously assured of the good in everyone - even his weird, untouchable, magic-drenched cousin. Long experience in Wind has instilled a habit of loudly proclaiming an opinion before anyone else can overwhelm him: otherwise, though, he tends to go along with the flow.
