TOPIC | Hide Forum Signatures
As the title says, just the ability to toggle on/off other players' forum signatures. Having a bunch of mixed-style, mixed-quality images and text completely unrelated to what I'm reading interspersing everything like those ads on 'free' websites (like Fandom) is quite annoying.
A good amount of what people put in their signatures is stuff that I don't need to know and am not interested in (ads for other browser games in which much of the game is advertising characters), and is personal information to boot (like the user being a minor...). I appreciate that some people put a lot of time and effort into making nice signatures, but I'd rather be able to just sit and read without all the extra visual noise. Others obviously enjoy seeing and sharing signatures, but all that's too much for me outside of profile pages.
Some users do put useful info down there (like a timezone for sales shops, or tabs listed for forum games), but if I'm clicking on their profile to directly interact with them, they'll probably have it listed there or on their original post as well.

I saw suggestion for this in search from a few years ago, but thought I'd make a new one since that one was old and didn't have many posts.

I wouldn't use this personally, but support (With it being toggleable in the forum itself so that you can easily switch to see them if need be)

I would also like the option to permanently toggle off individual signatures. Sometimes I see a sig that flashes too much or has a badge/label that makes me uncomfortable, and I'd appreciate the option to hide it site-wide but see other signatures.

i also wouldn't use this personally but full support! i'd also like a [emoji=paintbrush size=1] toggle text option for signatures because lbr i get yall have aesthetics to uphold but some of yall dont understand that light color text does not read well on white backgrounds

Sometimes people will mention helpful stuff in their signatures, link their full wishlist for trading, or a reference new piece of art they commissioned for it, etc, that’d be interesting to check out. It’d be easier than toggling of the whole switch every time.

Maybe a setting to turn all text black or white (for night mode)? Maybe a box to put in a custom hex code for any color you want, but I’m not sure if it would be a big enough feature to warrant that kind of customization. What do you think about that?

A pixelart banner of the Standard of the Arcanist apparel item.A pixelart aether with rose/wine/fuchsia colors and cinder/flair/monarch genes and arcane eyes. They're wearing a holographic pleather jacket and punk accessories. They're bobbing up and down slightly. Any/all

While I can't say I'll ever use it, I can see why it'd be a useful additions to those who want/need it! Support the toggle idea ^^

I support. Moving gifs in forum signatures are so distracting I find it hard to read or type when one is on the page.

If writers are supposed to "show not tell," why are we called "storytellers" and not "storyshow-ers"?

[/quote] well i meant to say that we already have the option on forum posts to make it so that they're plain text - so the ability to do that to signatures would be nice too also its not that they forget, it's that they don't understand the rules of good readability and think its worth sacrificing for the aesthetic TToTT
