Title basically!
I wish effects were visible on the lair page because some of them completely change the vibe of the dragon (like with
Effect: Dearly Departedfor example), so the discrepancy between how they look in your lair vs. how they look on their page is jarring.
Don't animate them though, that'd be too much.
(Also, please don't ping me in this thread. Thank you!)

Yes please! Would love them to show up unanimated just because so many of them drastically change the appearance of dragons to the point where the lair previews are misleading

Well, I support. I find it kind of weird they released a feature like this without having it optimised enough to allow for something like that. Especially since I feel most dragons you look at through someone's lair rather than a specific dragon page. And some effects are so drastic that it's a completely different dragon when you click on it.
Either way, this is what they said in the announcement post:

Restrictions: Technical constraints in sprite size and the graphic-heavy nature of our game prevent us from rendering Effects in every area (e.g., Coliseum battles, Auction House listings, Crossroads trades, Search results, Lair/Hibernal Den indexes, and forum avatars). However, we’re actively exploring ways to optimize and expand support for Effects in the future.

no support, aside from what @/ThisIsMilkshake pointed out - the sprites are so small i feel like it wouldn't be worth the effort to try and figure out how to integrate it

A static overlay would be great.
Though the icons are small, there are drastic differences in the colors of dragons with and without effects - a preview in the hibernal den or lair tabs should at least try to give the most accurate representation of the dragon you're about to click on.
