meet Argus, my terrible son, who may be my icon for the rest of eternity.
i got the idea for "multigaze aberration hatchling with peacock tert that makes it look like even more eyes" when i saw a random fodder on the AH with this effect, and knew i had to make one. at the time i only checked for what tert color would match lightning, but ever since then i've wondered if it's possible to do this for every element.
that's where this thread comes in. i'm not even sure i'll ever do this, and if i do it'll be well into the future because i have Too Many other projects on the boil to finish, but it'll be an eternal temptation. i'll throw any scries i'm happy with here, and i'd welcome anybody else who wants to pile in and scry with me! so far i've only tried it on aberration hatchlings bc they pull off the look the best, but i'm open to others!especially if it doesn't require me to buy ten more scrolls of eternal youth
other than the obvious stricture, of finding a tert that, in peacock, gives an accent color that matches the different elements' multigaze (which i think is the same shade as the common eye type,) i'm not overly picky. a double or triple would be easiest (though i'm eternally a sucker for a matchy XYZ) and the prim/sec genes shouldn't be too busy or pull in any crazy accent colors themselves. also ideally not gem genes since i'm probably gonna end up buying more permababy scrolls
. fade/blend and diamond/spade are decent bets, but if anybody likes others, show them off! i'm one of those people who isn't super into basic outside of very niche circumstances, but i won't say i'll never use it.
here's what i've got so far, having come to the conclusion that making the primary and secondary dark and close to that outer/"pupil" color on the peacock really works best:
