Bringing this thread back around because I just wanna play mahjong, man

Though I'd also like to add: I think even G&G should have its payout increased, and the others brought up to match it. I do not think this would severely impact balance or the economy, given that the fairgrounds already has a treasure cap in place. It would just allow us to reach the cap faster and with whichever game we feel like playing.

For those who think ~30 minutes at G&G isn't that much time; sure, compared to spending an hour or three in the coliseum it isn't. But I think for those of us who don't want to dedicate a ton of time every single day to this game the fairgrounds should be a better option for profit than it currently is. It wouldn't negatively affect players who do want to dedicate time to grinding this game anyways.

Also, Higher or Lower seriously needs a treasure boost. It was clearly designed for the very early game, and hasn't been updated to give a treasure amount that makes sense. 65t is honestly barely worth the time.

The older games really do need their treasure output increased. No idea if G&G should be nerfed or if they should all have their outputs increased to that level tho.

Maybe it would be more bearable to have them all a little lower if there was more different things with an equally high t output, so if you got bored of one you could switch? I don’t know

Full support for non-G&G games to have their payouts increased. There is no incentive to play any of the other games outside of Pursuit points when there are guides to get max T in G&G in ~30 mins. All of the other games would take hours to reach treasure cap.

G&G doesn’t need to be nerfed though. There isn’t a good reason to nerf it when we have a cap on daily T. Nerfing the payout won’t stop people from using guides. And I don’t think it would be fair to people who actually do enjoy that game.

Support! I love Tidal Trouble and Shock Switch and would spend so much more time playing them if the payout were balanced.

There is no reason for a game with an actual solution to pay more than games that do not, so I do feel G&G has to be the lowest paying game, not the highest one.
Notice how I didn't say anywhere in my post that I think G&G should only take ten minutes on the hardest difficulty. God forbid the fairgrounds take maybe 20 minutes to max out instead of 30 or more. A slight reduction in the time it takes is not going to seriously affect the economy, the same people who already use the fairgrounds can just save a little bit of time and play games that aren't G&G.
Unfortunately this isn't true. G&G as a solved game and allowing a large swath of players to easily max the Fairgrounds each day created a huge influx of treasure when it was introduced. It massively skewed the gem:treasure ratio which is the greatest indicator for treasure inflation and the Devs were only barely able to finally wrangle it back into shape with the release of the eye vials into the marketplace. This following several other treasure marketplace releases. So no, anything that enables more people to max Fairgrounds needs to be considered carefully, which making other games have higher payouts would do. The players who can't max with the Fairgrounds with G&G but could conceivably or already do max it with other games (Mistral Mahjong for example) will now be enabled to do so more regularly, adding more treasure to the game and potentially devaluing it. That said, I do support making the other Fairgrounds games payout better but I do feel that G&G should be nerfed as part of that balancing. Personally, I think Mistral Mahjong is very close to what I feel is an ideal treasure/time ratio payout. It takes about an hour to max Fairgrounds with Mistral Mahjong.
