i use corrndawg on almost every platform, i was just lucky that plain corndog was available here! i think i chose the original bc cornn berry from pokemon + dawg = funny pokemon fan name. i think i used it for my Ao3 account that i ended up never posting to because all my fanfics are STILL being worked on/are not things im comfortable sharing lol.

My current username on here is, not at all similar to any other username I've had, since I was kinda going for something that looked nice on a such a small site like this ":3

But in bigger sites like tumblr or wherever, I've just now stuck with D1mM1nS1n. It came from the word "Dimension". I have no idea why I chose that but I just thought it was better than my last name which was, mariocraft25 (a mix of mario and minecraft, where the 25 went from, somewhere) of all things. Gosh I've had that other name since I was 7? But anyways

I think usernames just come naturally, like you just look at a word long enough, or something you like long enough and go "yeah, that's something I want to be seen as".

My older username, the one I use here and on Spore, was originally suggested by one of my parents. Because my favourite colour was blue and it was a pun on the colour blue. My colour tastes have since changed. Or at least I know myself better because honestly I think I like green more.

My newer username that I've been using came about in an interesting way. Around this time last year I came back to Star Stable Online, and I had a few pieces of mail from two people I used to roleplay with. One of these people were like "hey thank you for being kind to me even though I was being rude to you back then", to paraphrase. I'm not sure if I was being kind, I was just like "hey here's a person who seems cool lets have fun and roleplay together" because the purpose of a game is to entertain. and it was fun, things could get very cray and epic in our random horsey rps. But I digress.

Either way, that mail kind of planted the seeds for the new username, CuratingBliss.

"Curating" is based off the fact that in my 'cinematic multiverse' kinda thing, the creators of the worlds and stuff are referred to as Curators. "Bliss" is being blissfully unaware of some things, which I guess in this day and age is a bunch of popular media and songs. Save for gaming generally and especially Roblox because I got into Phighting a couple months back-

I don't how to craft the perfect username. The only usernames I made before I came up with CuratingBliss were ones for accounts I made when I was very young, like for instance, "Clayclay". I guess just base it off things you like, things you enjoy, possibly take inspiration from the people surrounding you.

If I ever decide that I don't like CuratingBliss anymore... Well I guess I'll be PotatoLauncher, or something similar. Maybe PotatoesAndOnions. Nothing else comes to mind.

I have different usernames in different places. sddalek is a shortened version of what my old geocities website was. I love Doctor Who, and love the aesthetic of the Daleks (dual color, gliding, lots of circles that remind me of Yayoi Kusama art). I have different names on AO3 and tumblr. And the name I go by is different from usernames. I do have one I use on all my main social media accounts that I chose a couple years ago, but I don't want to change what I have here. That name is based on one of my birthstones and one of my favorite animals.

My username comes from the species of my fursona Kaia (a bird dragon), Rito are anthro birds from Zelda and my previous username GoldenWolf21 came from a random character I drew, a golden wolf, with my favourite number after it. So, I suggest maybe picking a character you like or something that represents you :3

Since FR is so small and more forum-based, I just did what I always do on forums and chose the name of a character I connect with. Here it's Sectonia, on ChickenSmoothie it's Malroth, the first forum I joined when I was much younger it was Kirby, for example.

The usernames I tend to use on another places vary between a few specific ones. Most common is wingedlightsss, which is a reference to Sky: Children of the Light, it sort of just was a random urge to use as a username once and it stuck, I don't even know where the extra two s's came from except that I wanted to just do something silly and "username-ish" I guess-

An older one that I also still use is StarKaabii, which is a reference to my love of Kirby/Hoshi no Kaabii as a whole and also a reference to a member of one of the most prominent members of the fansub operation for the anime back in the day, StarFumu. I just thought it sounded nice.

And occasionally I'll also use SeasonofRhythm, another Sky reference just because I like the Season of Rhythm and I Am Rhythm Guide™

My deviantart username, FoxiRavenheart, is much older but that was/is the name of an old character of mine who still kind of exists in theory out of nostalgia.

So generally on forums I go with choosing the name of a character I identify with, and on non-forum-based sites I choose things that reflect my favorite intetests!

I have a lingering fear of weirdos on the internet tracking me down. My solution? Use a different username for every site! Unfortunately, this also raises the problem of keeping track of a bajillion usernames and passwords...

my username on almost everywhere is swerver/swerverTR, which i picked on a whim while making my FR account, funnily enough. i ended up changing my UN on here from swerver to akilles, but i still use that alias almost everywhere else.

i don't really have advice beyond just not thinking about it too hard. i picked "swerver" because of a character i like, had to change it from "swerve" to "swerver" because the first one was taken, and then just slapped my initials after it when the name was taken on most bigger social media platforms lol.
