Strongly support. I'm fairly new, but have already messed up breeding - namely that I should never have even tried it out. Now I've exalted all the offspring and most of the dragons used, just to get rid of them. I don't want to look at 'offspring' on my dragons. Unfortunately, two of the dragons bred were my progenitors, so now I'll probably exalt them eventually just so I don't have to see offspring on their page. I can't say I'd have realized it was a mistake in time to cancel the nest, but at least having the option would have been good, and later nests (when I realized I was stuck with the offspring on the dragon's page) would absolutely have been cancelled, allowing me to keep some dragons that I actually quite liked.

Tentative support.
I like the idea of discarding a nest but only if it doesn't count as a 'black mark' against the account. If you go into the account information overview you can see your account stats. Along with the previously possible 'egg rot' mechanic. I'm not one for the game logging content that isn't considered positive. If it doesn't keep track of abandoned eggs and it was implemented with a lengthy cool down I wouldn't be opposed to it.

Support for being able to cancel but no support for it taking away eggs each day you don't incubate it unless it refunds breeding cool downs if the eggs all rot/die

I support nest termination, but with caveat.
The terminated nest must be unusable for the amount of time it would have been full.
There's a good point that nest termination could easily be abused to reroll when you get a 1 egg nest. Anyone with enough fodder pairs (especially plentiful ones) wouldn't think twice about leaving the wegg pair on cooldown while replacing them with a more full nest.
Either put the nest itself on a cooldown, or have an empty nest version of "incubate" to replace where the incubation would have been.

Support just as long as it's optional and not a game mechanic like what "Egg rot" is apparently supposed to be. I don't want any of the eggs on my nests to rot/die just because I'm not able to log in on FR for a few days to incubate eggs.

Another option, maybe, could be to remove desired offspring from the parents' pages. So you can still breed dragons but not list their offspring on their pages.

Support but with the caveat that it’s a feature with a cooldown and/or the parents still have their breeding cooldown. I’d imagine the primary use of a feature like that would become getting around weggs very fast and we’d see an uptick in the number of fodder pretty fast. A cooldown (maybe a week or so?) would mean that people can still cancel accidental nests without flooding the market with a bunch of 5 egg nests being hatched

I'm with Unrest regarding how it should be handled. Also please, just hell no to egg rot. Just....that went away for a reason, especially with how unstable the servers were back in the day.

I like the idea of nests being cancellable but keeping all related cooldowns. I feel like the process should be something like... you breed your dragons, they go on breeding cooldown, you incubate the nests each day, and on the last day you can choose between "Hatch" and "Cancel". So the only part that changes is whether the babies are actually generated or not. I think having to fully incubate would be a small price to pay for the option to undo accidental breeding.

I think the idea to wait the full five days for a nest to be a available again is fine, (actually a good idea to prevent it being exploited) but I think it would be better to allow players to cancel sooner and just have a temporarily unavailable nest until the five days are over :O I think forcing the option to only be available until the nest is fully incubated could result in a lot of misclicks, which is usually how accidental nests happen in the first place (as well as bugs, but I think most of them have been fixed by now?)
