So Q. Has Creature been holed away in her little crevice, hibernating or something, or has the ol woman be out? I was playing with a possibility of them at some point meeting an older person who had a run in with Creature back-in-the-day, tried attacking her and such. Then… whatever comes of that interaction. However I wanted to check in first if you think it plausible. Would have been around 50ish years ago probably?

She's absolutely cat coded. I will have her attempting to cram herself in every dark corner she can find. Are there boxes in this universe?? She will attempt to go inside the box. its her box now.

Creature kinda.. goes in and out here and there. She's kinda. more nocturnal for the most part, but she's definitely been out and about.. probably terrorizing someone or causing general issues/problems. She might have even been a foil to a dragon rider just out of sheer spite. Like.. they were just trying to go about their business and she blocked off an entire stretch of sky because she was bored and felt like messing with them lmao

Seastorm is fully willing to body Creature if she even dares to threaten his human. He might be younger, but he's got the bulk and he's never been afraid to use it. He's very dog coded for a giant semi-aquatic reptile.

He might be a little more wary if he sees her do her ailment thing, but that would probably just make him ink her.

Oh! Right, I was going to poke up some information. So, ‘Nobles’ in some places has become almost short hand for ‘wealthy family with influence’ or even just ‘especially wealthy’. However ‘true’ Nobles would more accurately be offshoots from a lineage that connects with a role on what’s known as the High Council.

There are two councils which primarily run stuff, essentially being the ‘highest’ ranking of all the settlements, guilds, etc. Now on the High Council, there is three members, one which is known as the Inheritor. These individuals are raised from a young age learning of the region. Despite how it’s named, Inheritors are not all necessarily related. Any who have a ‘rank’ or a family member with a ‘rank’ in the line would be considered Nobles.

Families and individuals can step out from it should they desire.

Some are so far down it’s more a fancy title really, but if you wanted a member of Astaria’s family or even Astaria herself to be part of the line, they could be anywhere from 4 - 7 or further down the line. The current holder of the role, second and third are filled already. Families whose connection have a further up ‘rank’ usually get or pull more ‘social’ attention.

Or, it can be the family has a form of noble status in another different region who funds them.

Another option is ‘noble’ in ‘short hand’ terms of just being really wealthy via business or whatever. Because sometimes it does get used that way by people who don’t necessarily know all the intricacies of ‘high society’.

Now as for what she’s up to! Who kinda ‘lead to’ or had a large part in the overturn is a rider! A risky move, but one taken because the WHOLE High Council shifted a couple years back. Thus eventually the new trio unanimously agreed to overturn it, for their own reasons. With enough of the Regional Council agreeing.

Specifics of it are… still being worked on. Currently they’re all in discussion of if using sleep magic on people should be off limits or not lol.

Back to Astaria though, unless the gal is Representative for where she’s from, all her stoof would probably be more ‘social’. Rubbing elbows, conversing, all that. Convincing people that way. Unless you think she’d have a connection to her place’s representative, or their ear at least. Or through favors, like you mentioned.
Another possible thing would be allowing riders come live nearby and make them feel welcome! Some do wanna branch out. Riders who already have just aren’t in a LOT of places just yet, but her place may be one! Provided her view isn’t niche there.

Lol. I do find that interesting! Her being suspicious, but switching tracks once she knew more about everything. Some of the information about what all happened is… not always clear, but information about it does exist! Her being a Noble would probably help.

Kinda vibing with the idea of her shooting 'magic mushroom' spores in Seastormm's face and him retaliating with ink. THen he's tripping out while she's blinded in 43 eyes lmao.

I legit feel bad for victims of Seastorm's ink as if it is anything at all like squid ink that sh-t is not coming out of your skin for days. Just look at how long it stayed on this guy and the mistake that was made

It’s a nasty mix of squid ink and hagfish slime so it’s not only staining skin and clothing, but also tangling you up like nobody’s business. Because I didn’t know this before, but hagfish slime can apparently be dried to make something like Kevlar.

Seastorm rarely uses this ability because who’s gonna attack a dragon of his size unless it’s a much bigger dragon or a territorial dispute. Something that doesn’t really happen because of his slime properties.
