Honestly, it looks really weird to me that the corner of the wing closest to the body is now colored by the secondary, when the rest of the upper wing arm is mostly colored by the primary. It doesn't make much sense to me from a practical standpoint and I think it looks uneven.
But they capitulated to the people who got the angriest and loudest, so what can you do? I don't care enough to scream that my dragons are ruined over something this small.

i believe that you believe there is a heaven

This 'fix' doesn't improve the fathoms in my lair that are the most negatively impacted by the initial change, they still look bad. The only thing that would fix them is a complete revert to the original art.

Honestly Im happy with it. It is way more in line with the other 2 poses and is a great compromise.
I dont think anything released could make everyone happy. Especially when it comes to OG coloration loyalists. Even if the change makes more sense to be in breed standard; only having the color blocked all the way down again would make them happy.

I'm still horribly disappointed by it. I hope I'll get over it with time because I really liked the F fathoms. The part that touches the front leg fin meeting the wing is the part that makes me the most upset. I hate that the fix preview has darker coloring on the front leg fin to separate the colors when that is just not how they look in basic.

It was less a response to angry people and more done to be consistent with Fathom M pose. The back arm shows what they intended

Agreed, I think if they were just listening to angry people, they would have just reverted it. I perceived the people wanting the revert to be louder anyways. This was definitely about breed consistency though.

Unfortunately I think it still looks worse than just having the arm be the primary color. And for some reason, the arms for certain genes still look bizarrely plastic-y.
And, as I've said before, this debacle has completely nuked my excitement for new genes thanks to not even the 45 day window being a full truth -- and now I have no intention of owning any more female Fathoms bc I think the wings just look bad. It's a real shame bc I really like the breed otherwise.

Seconding that its pretty much devastated my enthusiasm for Fathoms... It just throws off the balance too much and the revision looks wonky to me. It's really a shame, but I've gotten more attached to ancients recently anyway so it's whatever at this point. I really just hope something like this doesn't happen again, and definitely gives me some pause in new breeds...

I was primarily frustrated by the initial change less because of how it looked and more because it went against the idea of not making drastic changes to dragons after a certain timeframe (which has at least been further addressed). This seems just fine to me--looks nicer than the original change IMO and is actually more consistent with the other poses.

It's better than the first revision, but not as good as the original. My fathom f with foam will likely be getting the boot since it's not up to my standards still. Most of my fathom fs were improved.
While I still like the fathom f pose, my enjoyment of it, as well as my enjoyment of fr, has been somewhat marred by how late the first revision was implemented. I will not forget this while interacting with this site in the future.
