What it says on the tin. When a user’s account is banned, all of their current auction house listings stay up until they expire. However, those listings cannot be bought or hidden because,,,, the user is banned.
This, unsurprisingly, causes a lot of confusion. I see posts on a weekly basis of someone thinking their AH is broken because they can’t buy a dragon or item, only for someone to inform them that it’s the user who owns the listing in question being banned. Since there’s no indicator until you attempt to buy an auction that there’s anything wrong with it, I’ve seen several examples of people going to buy a dragon they genuinely want/have been saving for, only to find out that the user got banned when they finally had the gems together.
Most of the time this is just a basic annoyance, but I have a lot of friends who participate in dom pushes, and the fodder floor has been stuck low all week due to a single dragon from a banned user being unbuyable. (I think the listing in question finally expired, but still)
I’m assuming that, currently, these listings get left up in case of a wrongful ban, so that the player can appeal and not lose all their listings in the case they get unbanned. I’m not asking for a full clear, just a simple auto-expire that sends all the user’s active auctions to the relist page at the same time a ban goes through.

Yeah it kinda bothers me that their listings aren't automatically removed from the AH when they're banned, it causes a lot of confusion and annoyance. It seems like it'd be a fairly simple thing to do, and it happens often enough I'm a little surprised it hasn't been addressed yet :^

This! Please make listings from banned/locked accounts auto expire immediately or something so they aren't sitting in the AH. Why leave them there to confuse people? Removing the listings keeps people from buying stuff without making other players think something is broken.
Plus leaving the listing there has the side effect of telling every player who visits the AH that the player is banned. Getting banned, even temporarily, is already enough. Letting the whole site know is like rubbing salt into it even if that is not intended.

Big support. This honestly feels more like an oversight than anything, and definitely one that could use being brought to attention since it seems to cause users a lot of grief during times like dominance.

support. as said, it is annoying, causes confusion, etc. it just makes no sense listing is still there when it can't be purchased
Support, especially as I have ran into purchases where I got joyous I found a dragon or item in the past for a good deal, only to get the error message pointing towards the person being banned, which, as ZoranaDragon has said above, is not great either.

Support. There is no reason to leave up an unpurchasable listing that blatantly draws attention to the ban.

Support for general usability of the AH but also the reason that bans are often temporary, and it feels against the spirit of the site for banned users to be in the spotlight like that.

Support. The listing should either be hidden/removed or purchasable if it's going to stay up. Answering the question most new players have of "Why can't I buy this" gets old after a few bans.

With how often it happens, sometimes I can't help but wonder if it's somehow intentional in some cases. Could likely just be chance, but it seems so much more frequent than it used to be that it feels like trolling at this point. Something really needs to be done so it doesn't happen anymore.
