Mine is Invictus. I never liked my progens, even though they have been changed to Guardians from Fae, Invictus is still my leader. He's adapted to the Water Flight very nicely and leads with a fair and strong mind. Their are several other "minor" leaders in the clan, but they all report to Krys, and she has final word on most decisions. Some dragons like her, some don't, but they've all learned to respect her. My clan leader is my custom progen, Temba: The oldest dragon in the clan, he was the first to receive genes and a breed change. He was also the father of the clan's first clutch (and many after that!). He is in charge of protection, training new battle recruits and preparing those who are called to a higher destiny and seek to serve the Flamecaller. Making sure the clan is safe and food stocks are full are Temba's main tasks. Originally a Nature dragon, now only the color of his eyes betray his heritage. His body is hidden beneath a firey skin to honor the Flamecaller after the clan's move. He still wears his Druidic emblem and armband with pride and employs special Nature abilities in the Coliseum. He is a skilled fighter and is always part of the clan's Coliseum team. Though he is a fierce warrior and a strict teacher, he is able to show affection, both for his mate and for the clan's hatchlings. Young hatchlings are always in awe, maybe even a little frightened of the old Ridgeback. His screaming Tickbird is a constant companion and constant source of irritation for the older clan members. Though no one dares complain about the bird when the old Ridgeback is near! The bird does help with hatchlings; because of his age, reputation and appearance, Temba is often followed by inquisitive hatchlings. Tickbird's screaming keeps them from following Temba for too long and makes sure he can perform his duties. Once they are alone, Tickbird is virtually silent.

When my progens left the clan, the strongest and bravest warrior who remained took leadership, that was Firebrand, and she ruled to the best of her ability, gathering food and training the other members of the clan, but she knew she needed help, so she set out to recruit a partner. That was when Nikolai joined, and the warriors of the Brokenwing clan began to assemble around the pair. Nikolai is an old and seasoned warrior who bears many scars. Under his rule, the clan switched their focus from producing clutch after clutch to his ideal of recruiting old warriors to grow the clan. Only a handful of breeding pairs remain with the clan, the rest are all warriors with no desire to reproduce.

He didn't overthrow the progen, the progen left of his own accord and he claimed the position. He's very gruff but sweet kind of like a grandpa, but the kind that scares little children you know. yeah (i dont know why the link isnt working but whatever lol)

He was initially meant to be exalted by his father, the wind priest, who thought that he would never be capable of anything. His sister was better than him at almost every type of flight which is a key component of Cielvoler. However, he kept with him a big heart and a determined spirit, and it was through his brave actions that he was able to become leader. At one point the flock had gotten trapped in a massive storm after trying to visit a neighboring clan in the lightning region. The changing winds and darkness made it impossible for any one dragon to navigate themselves through, and so the flock found themselves stuck and battered by the winds. Calfoute recognized the dilemma and then practiced a new type of flight that only he knows, choreo flight. Choreo flight is the only flight pattern that involves multiple dragons moving together as a single entity. Calfoute knew he didn't have much time, so he quickly taught a few simple directions to his clan mates and pushed himself to the front of the storm. Thanks to his knowledge of this odd flight form, he saved every one in his clan and nearly sacrificed himself until his father decided to dive in and pull him out. He's a thin little skydancer and not the most formidable of leaders, but his wings and his heart are strong. He forgets to take care of himself sometimes as his mind is constantly racing with concerns for his clan mates. He always wants to assure himself that Cielvoler is safe and happy in the air and he will do whatever it takes to keep his clan safe.

Even if she's not the biggest dragon in the clan, she has everyone's respect and they know not to mess with her. She is, however, thinking about reinventing herself as a Ridgeback. Clan laws dictate that she'll have to retire from her role as leader since the ruler must always be a Mirror dragon, and the torch will be passed to her daughter Anaideia. And funnily enough, Annie just beat two of her younger brothers in an election held within the Flight, securing her place as the future ruler of the clan. One of those brothers took the loss graciously and now works in the Lightweaver's relic restoration department, and I'm told the other is currently sulking somewhere in the Lightweaver's library.
