Though his palette comes with a single blind spot, and that is spicy food. As firey as he is, Centauri is incapable of perceiving spiciness at all, as it simply does not compare to his own heat. Holiday, morale and nutrition, coming up! Feast of the Fishes came as the prelude to Christmas turkey day. In this, a huge platter of literal whitefish took up the main table center position with not one but three spatulas leaning over the edge for diners to serve themselves. (centerpiece) Alongside that sat trays of shellfish and calamari, then one head of the table contained lasagna (shareable) and the foot of the table, salad (5 dishes because shellfish and calamari are 2 separate). Lastly, homemade mozzarella knots chilled after forming from their stewy bucket.(finger food)

Today they came with a flyer for a banquet. After a chorus of "Pretty please with a cherry on top" from the group, Basilio gave in. It would be nice to use up some of his vegetables and fruit in a nourishing and healthy meal anyways. He could also impart some of these hatchlings with basic cooking skills while he was at it. She hadn't much enjoyed her previous cooking competition, it wasn't as though she'd signed up for another! Well, whatever. She was here now. She put aside some of her jewelry, readying herself. She was, of course, cooking for hours - large meals such as this demanded it. The first to be started was the [b]massive ham[/b] (centerpiece!), needing to be baked low and slow for hours even after it was marinaded for a few hours beforehand. Next was the [b]charcuterie board [/b] (finger food!) - always best to have that finished quickly, so that people could tide themselves over while waiting for the meal itself - consisting of several different cheeses preserved meats, and a few chopped fruits. Then, a [b]large casserole dish full of macaroni and cheese[/b] (shareables!), itself made with 4 different cheeses, a breadcrumb topping, and a hint of mustard to cut through the richness of the cheese. A [b]cheater pie[/b] - mostly pudding mix, lemonade, and a graham cracker crust - was stuffed into the fridge to set while the rest of it cooked. Finally, [b]buttery dinner rolls[/b] were placed in the oven to bake, after the dough had properly risen. (which makes 5 dishes!) She set the ham on an ornate silver platter in the center before cutting it into slices, then placed the vat of mac n cheese beside it, along with a carefully-stacked plate of dinner rolls. The charcuterie stayed on a side table, and the pie would be taken from the fridge once everyone had finished their meal and found some space for dessert!

First off- and this is a little specialty that my mother taught me, so it's for our seafood enjoyers! Take a clawful of [item=Chromodori Swimmer] Chromodori Swimmers and grind them into a paste. Yes, your hands will go numb, but that's just the neurotoxins working their way out! Next, combine the paste with the fins, and just the fins dear, of a [item=Fanfish] Fanfish. The fans will react with the paste and start to form a hard lump. Roll this into a sheet as quickly as you can, then into a cylinder!
