Basilio has always had a connection with the Earth.
Which is odd considering he does not talk much about his time in Earth's territory. He occasionally will mention a dry fact here or there --'I grew up in the Parched Canyonwalks.' 'I remember when the Terraclae was a quarry and not a home for the elite.' -- but most other dragons know very little about it, which suits Basilio just fine.
When he eventually settled down in the Lightning wastes, he found he was comfortable in this harsh soil. Sand was not so dissimilar to the dust and grit he was used to. He likes to think that the move left behind all the terrors of the night, but that was not entirely the case. When the memories came back, he picked up a spade and got to work.
Eventually Basilio realized that gardening was a wonderful passion. Here he could create something that would transcend him and provide nourishment. It started as atonement but moved into joy. He loved the power of creation. He extended his garden to include food and beautiful flowers. The nightmares came less and less, but he still spent most of his time in the expansive garden. He is finally happy.
He spends his time now tending to his garden and gifting any interested hatchlings with sweet berries and comfortable silence.
