She is immortal, but was forced to marry a mortal in an attempt to prevent a prophecy regarding her offspring, as these things do. Her demigod son still ended up fulfilling the prophecy, naturally, because how could a silly mortal ever compete with a demigod, and don't they know by now that prophecies are called that for a reason? Anyway she hates all mortals, is extremely grumpy (how would you be with that history plus then having all that sea pollution around you like she's tangled up in a literal net she hasn't been able to get it off for decades ugh MORTALS), but fiercely loves her son. He's this dude named Achilles, idk you may have heard of him. Works as a border overseer between the Ashfall Waste and Sea of a Thousand Currents, which essentially means he both wards off hostiles (or, in case of a bigger threat, informs the clan that stronger action is required), and assures the safe passage of travelers, especially those that find themselves lost or in trouble.
