I've been rewatching the show as an adult, and i'm having a wonderful time letting myself fall back in love with this world and these characters all over again after all this time. Steven Universe has been through the wringer in the cultural zeitgeist, from beloved to cringe to hated, but I think the people who made it.. let's say "difficult" to be a fan of the show have either changed or moved on, and in any case, i don't care what they think. I'm only in the mood to love this show right now, and what's a better way to show your love than to make a fandragon? it's.., more or less a form of fanart? yeah no its definitely fanart

Steven Universe my beloved <3 I got into it pretty late but I still was able to experience a lot of the earth-shattering reveals right along with the rest of the fandom. Sure the fandom had its toxic areas but I still had a lot of fun and I still love the show. The one thing that bothers me about SU is how suddenly Future ended after I Am My Monster, it felt so sudden and abrupt after such a wonderful buildup.
Here are my fandragons for my favorite characters, Lapis and Rose! Rose is named Roselle because I have a fandragon for a different Rose already and because as Pink Diamond she's heavily associated with hibiscus flowers, another name for which is roselle.
