"I like seeing them," Kyle said, not at all meek about that despite being anxious about so many other things. He doubted northern men had anything against looking at beautiful ladies.

"Then quit being naughty!" Jet ordered.

"You don't sleep in yours, though," Livius pointed out.

"Isn’t that kind of sinful?” Willis asked. "Especially when they’re married…"

"I’m not!" Liam huffed.

"Your room," Aaron agreed childishly, clinging to Livius’ arm.

"Just looking isn't bad," Kyle defended.

"You are!" Jet insisted.

"My room," Livius agreed. "I want to sleep with Livius!" Sophos decided, jealous of Aaron.

"It is if they’re married," Willis mumbled.

Liam huffed and turned away from him. "I’m not bad. I’m bored."

"No, I sleep in there!" Aaron said, clinging to Livius properly now.

"You never think married women are pretty?" Kyle asked.

"You're both," Jet insisted.

"You both can, we all fit," Livius soothed.

"I don’t look," Willis protested, but the pink tinge to his cheeks suggested he wasn’t quite telling the truth.

"I can stop being bored," Liam whined.

"No, it’s ours," Aaron said, starting to cry.

"Everyone does. It's okay as long as you don't stare or be rude," Kyle reasoned.

"You both need something to do." Kay didn't want them moving too much while their skin was healing, but if he didn't give them something to occupy their time, he worried Liam would keep getting in trouble.

"It's mone, and you're both my brothers, so we can all share," Livius said.

"I don’t look!" Willis insisted a bit more firmly, but his tone was anxious. "Don’t tell anybody that…"

Liam nodded eagerly. He had been bored many times, in his imprisonment, but he didn’t like it.

"No!" Aaron carried on sobbing, quickly struggling to talk and cry at the same time.

"I won't tell anyone," Kyle promised.

"I'll get some paint," Kay decided. "Painting is boring," Jet said.

"Aaron, I think you need a timeout. You aren't sharing," Livius told him.

Willis nodded firmly, mostly to comfort himself. "Then... let's go find Blank."

"I like painting," Liam pouted. "You think everything is boring. You wouldn't have lasted long in the cages." Not that he wasn't easily bored, either.

That upset the child further. He pushed Livius away and ran off sobbing.
