HOWEVER- important question: do they have mobile metacarpals like we do or is their first metacarpal fused to the rest like the 1st metatarsal is fused to the tarsometatarsus in birds?
Because if it's fused, they won't be able to grab things like we do, they can only have them opposing and never flat. Honestly, seeing the hands with the claws pointing backwards, then no, they're not fused.

surely not, as lighting dragons they've got to be able to grab/use tools (it's why sandsurges have thumbs)

I actually "read" them more like primate hands, though 4-fingered. The digit with the long claw is the inward-facing thumb, just curled in, almost like a knuckle-walk!

Do you like familiar matching~?
Come check it out.
This is really interesting, I never noticed the "pinky" being off like that. Does make you wonder

[font=American gothic][size=4]Based off Arvelle, it looks like they're mobile!

Call me Requacy (Pinging Allowed!)(Note to self: Make art for signature)

requacy exactly! Also, I think the ring finger (outermost) is just a bit shorter or simply more flexed, but I do love the idea of it being capable of slight rotation akin to owls, however in the case of owls, it is again due to a fused but curved metatarsal in the tarsometatarsus
