Gen 15 Mate Hunt/Gen 15 Breeding
Before we get into the absolute saga that was finding a mate, a few quick updates.
On the first post, I've updated the Gene Rarity Reference! It's now a graphic! It's flawed, but it's easier to read, in my option...well, discounting the shrink effect. Still!

It also accounts for all recent changes that I'd been ignoring.
Second! We have the new pinglist function, and I've set one up. Scroll to the bottom to find it above the old, manually edited pinglist. If you want to be dropped off, just toss me a quick comment. Otherwise, just join the new one. I'll continue to ping the old list until everyone transfers over, or asks to be removed.
The saga begins.
So, I'm going to present these in approximately the order I got them. Rules for this mess was any male I got was free game to be swapped back in. Any girls had to be kept until the choice was made.
My first trade was on
Give a breeding pair get a breeding pair because hey, guaranteed to get a female as part of the pair.

I'm actually keeping this pair, because they're great, honestly.
Next, I went to
Give a BLUE dragon, get a BLUE dragon! as it seemed like a fairly active trading thread.

This lady came as a Tundra, but once I decided to keep her no matter what, she got a breed change to Skydancer.
Next was
Give a triple-gened Get a triple-gened because, well, trip gene is an important aspect of this challenge!

I popped next into
Give & Get an Ugly, ~*Ugly Dragon Swap*~ because I now had an ugly dragon to trade and thought, why not?

Not awful, not great for the challenge but I like primal eyes...
I wasn't having the best luck getting lots of girls, so on we went to
(GIVE/GET) Childless Adults Club for our next try...

Thankfully, I was able to pop into
Give ANCIENT get MODERN; give MODERN etc and get a Modern dragon out of it; didn't get so lucky the rest of the time I was trying, but at least I got one! Unfortnately it was a boy.

Not-thankfully, ANOTHER MALE.
The
Gender Swap! (leave a derg, take a derg) thread had a lot of potential, but I had really bad timing - always got there when I'd have to give a girl, instead of getting a girl except for this one time.

Okay, this lass is quite pretty, but not the best option for the challenge. Still, something is better than nothing.
Then, it was back to try my luck again at

The next two trades were rapidfire on the

Hrm. Did not like, and Ancients, so right back out they went...

Female wasn't an awful options, so they were kept. Male went right into HibDen for now, too.
From there, I bounced to
Give an Adult, Get an Adult hoping for better luck with lady dergs...

I was having the worst luck getting females on the solo trade threads, I swear.
Give an Imperial/Get an imperial! was the next stop, and can you tell that I was working so hard to get a good mate for my poor Gen 15 heir?

Cute but the gender remained a problem. I wish my heir had been female this time, life would have been so much easier.
After that, I jumped back into
Give an Adult, Get an Adult in hope. Like, vain hope, but hope.

AT LAST, A VERY GOOD OPTION! Her genes are either on par or a step up for our Heir!
I went once more into
Give a breeding pair get a breeding pair because honestly, its been the most productive trade thread so far...

Ancients again, but alas, I was basically out of time.

Give An XYX, Get An XYX! was my last stop, because Acaelus was about to be ready to mate and I was running out of time.

Like hell was I going to random choose after slaving away trading endlessly for a mate. Of all the available options, one stood out as having far and above the most potential for gene advancements...

Sigh.
