(i apologize if someone's already made this thread, i did a little checking before posting but i may have missed it. i also currently have covid so apologies if things seem a little disjointed, i might be a bit out of it)
i've been on and off of FR for many many years now, but i... don't know if i've ever actually been here actively during NOTN? i know it's coming soon though i'm not sure what day it starts exactly. if i was ever here for it before, i have zero recollection of it (thank you, terrible memory). so i was wondering, what is everyone else doing to prepare...? what will most players need on hand to be able to participate? should i be saving up certain materials, or fodder, or a certain amount of treasure and/or gems? what site features will get utilized (coliseum, baldwin, gathering, seasonal shops, etc)? is there a list of things i should be checking every day during the event to make sure i get everything out of it that i should? do guides already exist and i'm posting this question for nothing?
overall, i guess - what would you advise others new to the event (or who just have a poor memory like me) do to prepare, or know about ahead of time?

Lots of folks like to reduce things at Baldwin to get goop to make chests/apparel/familiars that are only around during NotN.
It's also a good idea to grind the fairgrounds for treasure so you can buy any apparel, scenes, or vistas that catch your fancy (whether through Higgins or from other players).
Everyone is in it for profit these days so if you're saving for projects or big ticket items (KS, etc) this is a good time of year to do it - the first few days of the event anyway. Items from chests like apparel and familiars will usually hit a rock bottom price of around 2g/2kt so if you can wait to just buy the stuff that comes out of chests then do that and sell early.

You're going to need fodder and Baldwin materials. You are going to be spending a LOT of time in the Coli. Also, bond with as many familiars as possible during the event because you can get a chest from them.

NotN means coli grinding, and coli grinding means specialized builds! You'll want to make sure your coli team's statted out for farming,

thank you guys so much!! next year i'll be sure to prepare further ahead of time so i can get more supplies and stuff saved up. but i guess this will be better than nothing! :D
