Oh my God, this thread just fell right onto my lap! I have been fixated on Wesker in particular in my dumb little autistic brain for months now, and I was playing my way through the RE1 remake when my computer suddenly broke down... ;w;

Now, I watch playthroughs while I save up money to get a non-potato computer, and I have to say that I'm hooked! I even watched all the live-action movies, which turned out to be an act of self-harm. Has anyone here watched Death Island or Vendetta?

There's a lot of the series available on it so if you wanted to work through more of them you would get your money's worth out of it!

@glarthir

I just managed to get hold of a copy and watched Death Island last night (I made a post on the last page about it.) I really like the CG movies, Damnation is probably my favourite, but that's because I loved Sasha's character and his story.

The live action ones tho.... I watched Welcome to Raccoon City recently too and wish I could get a refund on the two hours I spent watching it.

@BladeDancer - I've never heard of Damnation. I wonder if it's on Netflix... Welcome To Raccoon City sure isn't last I checked, lol.

I really want them to remake Code Veronica next, but maybe without that "crossdressing freak" comment made by Claire.

There's also Degeneration and Infinite Darkness! Are you in the US? I think Netflix has different things depending on country, in the UK, Welcome to Raccoon City is on there but the only CG film is Infinite Darkness. (I say film but they split it into 'episodes' even though it was obviously meant to be a movie like the others.)
It's also kinda weird because they have some of the live action Anderson films, but not others.

The main thing I remember about those films was them having a plot about how the virus dried up all the oceans (somehow???) and then the next film is about them trying to find a ship out at sea and it's like, um, what happened to the thing about all the oceans been gone????

Code Veronica could really use a remake! There's a lot they could change with that one. I wonder if they could give Steve the same kind of glow-up Carlos got and actually make him likeable instead of probably the most hated character in the series.

@BladeDancer - Awesome, more films for me to watch! I'm in the US, and the only films I remember seeing on there are Infinite Darkness and the live-action ones (some of them, anyway.) They also have that live-action series that got canceled after only 8 episodes.

The virus dried up the ocean... and yet he has a ship full of survivors living on it XD I wouldn't be surprised if he retconned that, just like how he was going to have Alice and Co. team up with Wesker at the end of one movie, only for her to narrate that it was a trap in the next one (without even showing what happened! >:c) Okay, maybe I like the movies a tiny bit, but that tiny bit is entirely because of their hilarious take on Wesker. He's always posed awkwardly like an action figure, and you gotta love the sideburns!

Steve getting a glow-up would involve getting a new voice actor, AT THE VERY LEAST. They could also leave out the stuff where he's in love with Claire, since I don't think she's a teenager in that game. Then again, I might be wrong about that...
Village just makes me stupidly happy for some reason. I like the other games as well, of course, but Village just itches my brain good. Its goofy, but tense, terrifying at times, and also really touching? (The ending made me cry like a baby). Also I feel like the characters must have been fun to voice for. Such goofy goobers. (Who I like to character dissect way more than I should.) I even recently got a Heisenberg plush for my birthday
I'm so happy I've found someone who loves Village as much as I do!!! No one seems to understand my hyperfixation on these characters, the story, and the world!! What was your favorite part of the game/character?

@glarthir

The timeline of them is kinda weird, like Infinite Darkness is one of the newer ones but takes place earlier in the timeline? I'd just watch them in release order.

Yeah it really felt like when a new film came out it's like he just threw out what happened in the previous ones all the time. They were a mess, but that's what made them kinda entertaining. Like, they were awful but kinda fun to watch because of that?

She should still be 19 since it's only a few months after RE2. I think Steve was 17 or 18, so there's only a year or two between them. Him trying to kiss her while she's asleep was pretty creepy and weird though. There's a lot there they could really change. I don't think anyone would miss their romance if they cut it. It honestly felt pretty one-sided anyway.
Maybe focus the plot more on Alexia and Wesker since they were the most interesting part.

to be honest, i’m kind of a ““fake fan”” lol. i don’t really know much of what happens after re4. part of it is just cause i haven’t been into it long enough to know all the lore but part of it is cause leon is my favorite character and i don’t like his design in re6 lol

@cherrysalmon

Don't worry, the lore is kind of a huge mess anyway. The series has been going so long now and has so many entries I think even Capcom confuse themselves with it sometimes.

I actually think that Capcom is using the Remakes as kind of a new timeline/version of events and that from now on they're going to be less and less similar to the originals and start doing their own thing. RE5 and 6 weren't as beloved by fans so I don't think many people will mind if they start making huge changes. So I think it would be fine to just follow the Remake's version of the story.
