Thistle has a bizarre fondness for cropping up among my hatchlings, to the point where I just embraced its frequency. (It helps that I really like the color itself.)
...then I decided to breed myself a triple thistle dragon, since my hatching grounds are so fond of the color (yes, I know I could buy one, but where's the fun in that?). Five eggs from a thistle/lavender/thistle and mulberry/thistle/thistle pair later...three mulberry, four lavender, and no triples. I ???
A friend of mine recently hatched a thistle (maybe iri?) primary with platinum seraph and the colors looked made to go together. I was so tempted to buy him but alas he sold before I could talk myself into buying yet another dragon I didn't really need but wanted a lot. Also shadow, I've found, for Colors That Look Good With Thistle In Most Genes And Breeds.

Thistle ripple looks super pretty, especially paired with platinum. It's easily one of my favorite colors, but it IS hard to match up well.

Moniquill Oh they're all so pretty. Once you get a tri or double thistle you can SEE how the color is clearly purple, but if you mix it in with the grayscale colors you completely forget about it.
