Deimos squeezes his eyes shut tight. Even then, he can see the dazzle of light as it goes off, but at least he’s only shaking off a momentary spot in his vision rather than fifteen seconds’ disorientation. The aberration’s off his tail, now, blinking in the middle of the path. The spiral has shaken that fae off— yeah, take [i]that[/i]! An obelisk carrying the most orange aether he’s seen dashes past on a rainbow of elemental magic, slipping easily between the gaps in the crowd. A wildclaw lashes out as the obelisk comes through— the ridgeback swoops in— claws and magic flash through the air, and suddenly the crowd is in chaos. Uhoh. [i]Uhoh[/i]. The three of them are [i]right[/i] in the middle of it all. Deimos swears, jerking away from the worst of it, but that takes him away from Doc as well. Aw crap. Okay maybe staying where they were before might’ve been a better idea, but this plan is full and underway. All right, where’s Doc— there! Deimos’s dash towards the rest of his team is interrupted by the ridgeback, though, and he is forced to recalibrate himself yet again. Aw man, they should’ve saved the flashbang for now…

The spears were just salt in the metaphorical wound. First they attack him, now they attack his pride?! The little green problem wasn't having any of this. With a growl, he pointed at Bumblebee. "You! Bee-thing! Tangle some people, give the goop monster an opening!" Even if he didn't care that much for his teammates, they were still more useful actually doing something than not. He angrily pounced about - did his wings even function? - hitting more tiles in a frenzy to retake whatever position they held. [i]He was NOT finishing this race last![/i]

Still, despite how much of a pain his teammate was turning out to be was it wasn’t a [i]bad[/i] idea. Bumblebee, like Zim, was a sore loser, especially when it came to things concerning speed; like a as race. He [i]guessed[/i] that he could put his anger and defiance aside for now. Just until the team was in the lead. Bumblebee took off like a shot, expertly weaving through the legs of the dragons on opposing teams and looping around them in dizzying circles, hitting tiles here and there if the opportunity presented itself. He could be one hell of an annoyance when he put his mind to it, and now was as good a time as any.

No screaming at other competitors, nor his teammates. No tantrums or meltdowns. But his short temper is at its limit. As elegant as his Confusion Dance was, he didn't get out unscathed. He tucks and rolls, swiftly landing to avoid further clipping his wing. [color=maroon]"I have your six, Goldenrod!"[/color] he barks to Bumblebee, eyes on the prize. The prize in question is Zim. Powerful claws --abnormally long and thick for a skydancer-- pin his little body down-- [color=maroon]"[i]Stop. Pushing. Random. Buttons.[/i]"[/color] Starscream taps the tiles quickly, but unlike Zim, he pays [i]attention[/i] to the order he's hitting them in, eyes darting as he watches the field light up. He bounds ahead once he's found a path. [color=maroon]"Sludge, this way; I have a route,"[/color] he calls over his shoulder, tail flicking to get his teammates' attentions.

The tiny problem creature squirmed, heavily disliking the touch he didn't initiate himself. "None shall tell Zim what to do!" These two would almost certainly never get along. Eventually, the not-fae slipped free, and began hitting more tiles - this time, they were [i]mostly[/i] right. An improvement, perhaps?
