So, my clan lore is very arcane based- specifically magic and meteors for my progen- and the new arcane ancients are making my imagination go WILD. I'd love to see any lore ideas you have for your new aethers! How the breed fits into your clan lore, personalities/professions of your aethers, etc! I'll start first! My progen was ecstatic to research them, only to become [i]very[/i] frustrated when they started eating her papers.

oh neat!!! i especially love that last little fella, i have such a soft spot for earth tones~ all the aethers in my lair thus far are oldies i had sitting around waiting to gene up, or fodder that luckily had nice tight ranges with eachother (score!!) -- i say this but.... these first two nests are a little disappointing! [center]I love your aethers, they are so lovely! I have two aether I want to write lore for, one is a dragon that I breed changed and one I hatched. For Sevde, the one I breed changed, I'm thinking of going with him being the clan librarian and record taker. I love the idea of him eating old records and occasionally making a mess of things by eating the wrong papers, I would like for one or two of my other dragons to be his assistants that make copies of everything. ooh she's so precious... something quirky but fabric themed could be fun! darnae perhaps? it's the feminine variant of 'darnell', darning is the act of mending holes in fabric~? nouns for names can be fun too i think.... spool, stitch, patch, bobbin, pleat, twill....

Now his favorite food is electricity. Unfortunately for the clan…living things conduct small amounts of the stuff. He’s voracious and quite the nibbler. He’ll lick outlets, try to call down lightning, he’s a veritable power source himself. Good friends with [url= https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/70657424]Eris[/url] (bite club buddies), and he helps [url= https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/2819]Wraith[/url] with numerous electrical based experiments. Wraith gave up on paper long ago, things explode in his lab way too often. Gotta use stone or his excellent memory. The mandibles help get a good grip for chomping.

He's a sprightly young fellow who goes about his life with great enthusiasm, whether it's reading books or eating them.

Y'know this is a very apt thread since I was already thinking of overhauling my clan's lore and then Aethers come out?? And like my progens look so good as Aethers? I'm thinking of maybe changing his secondary gene to Icing since it has a little bit of green in it, but I kind of like the vibes of Tide better[/columns] Anyways lore plans. The original plan for my lair was for all my dragons to be based on different celestial bodies (stars, planets, constellations, space stuff like comets and asteroids, etc.) so they'd maybe have special characteristics based off that and they'd be studying themselves/space with the ultimate goal of returning to space (though this part has always been kinda iffy). I never got too far with this though and just stopped writing lore since I felt uninspired. Now, I'm thinking of maybe changing it so that my clan was formed kinda from the aftermath of the whole Astrolab crashing back down to Sornieth, and some weird stuff happened with being so close to space so they have some similarities to different celestial bodies. Not sure where my modern dragons fit into this, [s]I'm attached to a lot of my babs so I wanna keep them as is[/s], but I feel my creative writing spirits being revitalized and am very very hyped!
