That wasn't the intention and this wasn't an issue with the blue recolor which passed perfectly fine, but I guess I can see where it's coming from. However I really don't want to remove that part of the skin (seeing as the neck is like. 80% of it.) Would it pass if I added a cyan or otherwise unnaturally colored glow to the inside, similar to the blue version? Or am I going to have to just scrap the red version altogether? :/

@Sucrose The original lineart and shadow layers are still difficult to see over the bright chromatic red areas of the design, and over the fluffy lining and rabbits. If you'd like you can submit this edited version of your design, which will be accepted. Or you can submit a similarly edited version of your own. Also, can you please provide a translation of the kanji?

The red design has deep dark cavities and stringy red bits that give the impression of a torn up neck. If you filled in the black cavities with blue (basically the areas that are filled in with red in the blue metal version), that might be enough to remove the heavy gore appearance of the red skin.
