For @
gn0me! Thank you for the advice and I hope you like it!
Before I start, I wanted to clarify that in my kind of headcanon all dragons can use runic magic to equip a human disguise so I tend to roleplay them human as well as Draconic since it’s easier for me and I love to roleplay! I can’t draw so I’ve I added a picrew By the talented brightgoat to show what her human disguise kinda looks like in this drabble:

Now onto the thing! Sorry im not the best writer!
“Stop right there, servant of Plague. I am Elderberry, advisor to High Matriarch Qwendolyn” Ectneg turned her leftmost head to the source of the noise, not expecting it to come from a mirror dragon about half her size. The rightmost head tilted, stifling a chuckle.
“Yes. Alright. I promise I’m not here unannounced or to fight.” To illustrate, she lowered both her heads and her wings in a sort of bow, the light glinting off her jeweled scales and catching the subtle colours beneath. “I hear this clan’s matriarch is offering a place to any dragon willing who can master a human disguise? I’d like to join your clan. I’ll even show you, if you like?”
The mirror dragon stayed silent for a moment, then hugged, her tail smacking the floor in irritation before she began chanting. Soon enough there was a woman standing in her place, armored and holding a spear directly at her. Ectneg herself was unimpressed, but it was when her rightmost head finally couldn’t sustain herself and gave the laugh she’d stifled before.
She rose to her full size once more, letting the laughter die down while her right head shut her eyes and sighed in embarrassment. The transformed mirror girl seemed to get angrier by the second of course, so as one head laughed, the other began to chant.
It took half the amount of time it had taken the other dragon to transform, though admittedly once the smoke cleared it was clear that the transformation spell was different than the one Elderberry herself had used. Ectneg had kept some of her Draconic features, her scales presented in patterns over her cheeks and clawed hands while there was no weapon present anywhere near.
At Elderberry’s confused expression, Ectneg cleared her throat, two distinct sounds coming from her as if she possessed two voices. When she finally spoke again, it was clear she did. “We are an ancient breed. Older than your matriarch, older than you. Or let us guess.. You think your clan invented this spell? We know the old magic, and we are here lending wing and claw to help the Shadow Flight and your clan.”
Ectneg left the words ‘your clan would be fools to refuse’ unspoken, but it was clear Elderberry understood. She dropped her spear and it vanished, and Ectneg took her empty and sadly
unclawed hand, allowing her to lead her to High Matriarch Qwendolyn. This was the beginning of an interesting friendship, surely.
