If I want to take a break for awhile, but I don't want all my dragons to have zero energy, can I stick them all in the hibernation den? Or does the lair require at least 1 dragon to be present?

There's no Lair requirement but it will also immediately drop your clan's energy level to 0% so take your Gathering turns first. Dragons in the HDen don't count for the clan energy.

Have you checked the Gem MP for Gene and Breed scrolls before buying an AH listing from me ending in 5g?

You need to use the available tools in whatever art program you're using to determine this or have someone do it for you who has an art program capable of doing this.
