Like, I'm genuinely curious why an official gene can be so dark a dragon is an indistinguishable blob but skin/cents can't? What's the reasoning here? What makes it different?

Ah, so that's why I couldn't remember seeing the 'puff fam before and being confused when i had some pings for fiona, pff
also i only just discovered this when working on a scry for a fandragon and being shocked when a gene i didn't recognize popped up with the randomizer
