I currently still have both of my Progenys but with lair upgrades getting increasingly more expensive and them both being rather plain and somewhat unattractive I am tempted to exalt them.
This got me wondering, what do most people do with theirs? Have you kept them for sentimental reasons? Scrolled them into something else bigger and better? Or did you bid them farewell and send them off to serve your flight for all time?
I'd love to hear your stories and thoughts on it.

I could never get rid of my progies or their first daughter (part of me is still sad about having to get rid of the rest of the nest, but it was a clutch of four...). I did get lucky with mine, and may gene up in the future, but have no plans to breed change. The boy is perfect as he is, and I really like the girl too...
Plus the boy makes an awesome avatar as he is ^.^
I would say though - they will always be your first dragons. Lair expansions come and go, but they're only there once. Think it over before you exalt, because if you regret it, there's no going back. I exalted an unremarkable dragon once that I had an attachment to and still regret it. Oh Lito :'(

Yeah, I do. |D Though I absolutely regret being way too indecisive and not giving my progen nice colors. xD They do look very nice together, though. :P (but im slightly tempted to exalt them anyhow...)

Yeah, I have both of mine still. I really, REALLY dislike both of their colours (I didn't know what I was doing when I joined!) so maybe I'll scatterscroll them in the future.

Skins are a good idea Reyna. I might have to consider that for mine.
I will definitely keep your words in mind Zenelle. It's a hard choice to make for sure.
Haha Nano, I wasted a couple tricolor scrolls on mine hoping for something nicer in color and while I lucked out on my boy I would say my girl was not as fortunate.

I kept my Progen & exalted my random Progen.
I was VERY tempted on exalting her at first because she was super plain.
However I'm very happy that i didn't, she has now become my favorite dragon C:
