Aleksei didn't technically get permission to go to LuminaxCon but it's not like he lied. He DID get permission to go back to the Sunbeam Ruins and he IS going to see his family while he's here. LuminaxCon is just a temporary stop along the way and totally not the primary reason for his visit.

Despite getting a bit beaten up, Tiamat enjoyed LuminaxCon. But she's used to facing off against the enemies and "friends" of the Empire she pretends to be a part of.
Her wings were a bit tattered, and as you can tell, she got some wounds, but still couldn't resist getting a Luminax Mascot headpiece.
She shouldn't have tried to face off against the undead emperor, but couldn't resist the chance.
What can I say? She's a bit of a daredevil and has a tendency to push her limits.

Pearl snatched up the lanyard as soon as he saw it in the clan's mailbag. Swift as the wind, he made his way to LuminaxCon! He flitted about between all the booths, made it to some lovely panels, met some wonderful people! He didn't manage to snag any merch, nor see the emperor himself, but he had an excellent time![/center]

Ladino had a lot of fun meeting other dragons and running from Luminax at LuminaxCon, but his clanmates don't seem to appreciate the souvenirs he brought back or the fact that he keeps dressing up to scare the hatchlings. But he won't let his cosplay go to waste!
