(Warning, this is gonna be image heavy!)
Hi guys! Exactly what it says on the tin - I made a Veilspun plush! This isn't my first time around making FR dragons and I wasn't particularly planning to make a Veilspun, but then I hatched one and plugged some numbers into google, and...
Guys. I knew they were gonna be small, but I wasn't prepared for 4-inches-long small. I knew what had to be done.
This is the face that greeted me when I emerged from my sewing coma.
She clocks in at 6 inches long instead of 4, but that's still within the range of life-size baby Veilspun. Turns out all the jokes about Fae babies fitting in cups were 100% accurate.
Normally, I wouldn't crawl out of the woodworks to share. But I've seen posts about people wanting FR dragon plushies for years, and I've wanted to do something like this for almost as long. This is also the first time I've had a pattern small enough that I can scan it onto my computer. I don't think I could do these for commission unless it was very unique circumstances. I don't have the necessary self-discipline, FR has a 5-item-only limit on USD commissions for physical items, and most importantly, the time required to make one would make the price of one...a lot. ovo; Even if I charged the minimum reasonable price for my time working, it would be more than I'm comfortable charging anyone.
So here's where the interest check comes in. Would anyone want the pattern to make a Veilspun for themselves? I've got a lot of pictures from putting the plush together, so I can make a pretty detailed tutorial if enough people are interested, and I'd honestly be thrilled to help out if anyone had questions or were new to sewing! I promise it's not too hard when you understand how the pieces go together, it's just time-consuming. What do yall think?
(Last note, the forums scare me so if anyone answers it may take a while for me to get back to you =v=;; Thanks for sticking with me if you read this far, and happy Rockbreaker's tomorrow!)
