Hello! First entry of the contest, I decided to do a Serviceberry tree for the Crop theme.

We often think of fields of one thing when thinking about crops, but growing several edibles of different types (Potatoes low to the ground, apples and olives up above, legumes as creepers on the trees...) in the same area is much more ecologically friendly and beautiful to me. Serviceberry is a native plant of the Eastern US, a small tree, and is both a great ornamental and produces excellent berries for you to pick or leave for birds. It would be an exotic addition to a poly-culture farm.

In the design, I tried capturing the white of the flowers in the primary gene and color, the varied berry color in the wings and eyes, and the greenish-yellowish center and plant bits of the flower in the underbelly. It was rather challenging using a species and plant I hadn't seen others use yet, but I thought it came out well.

The pink represents the flowers and the spines represent the prickly leaves! The multigaze is the actual peas!
