the dragons. the moment I made my tundra Belva and got (randomly) a tundra as her mate I was happy. I loved the goofy fluffs that looked like no dragon I'd ever seen before. [emoji=tundra happy size=2]
I joined Nature and I think that was the best second decision I made (after making Belva)[emoji=nature rune size=1] I've thought once or twice about vacationing to earth (my second choice) but the harmony and fantastic community of Nature is one that I'd miss terribly and the beauty of our background page is calming for my anxiety and depression and I don't want to lose that either. June will mark my 5th year here as I joined just in time to celebrate the first year celebration. [emoji=firework size=1] I took one hiatus due to my mental health (I wasn't online much at all at that time) but came back here after and once again felt welcomed in my Nature home. I don't post that often, but I'm still on daily. I love this place. :) [emoji=tundra love size=2]

The dragons are pretty, and I like drawing them.

I'm honestly not sure.
And half of my friends think I'm crazy.
But... You know.
Oh well. [emoji=tundra love size=2]

It took me awhile to really stay with this game. I made my account back in June 2013 but kept forgetting the site even existed. Back then there was no Scrying workshop, and very few genes, so there wasn't much of a pull like there is now.
Once I had myself coming back here regularly, the thing that's made me stay has been primarily site lore and art quality. It's the only franchise where I've been driven to right my own stories for the characters based on canon lore. The art quality is absolutely gorgeous and the best I've ever seen out of any "pet" site.

Nobody wants to tell you why discipline is so important. Discipline is the strongest form of self-love. It is ignoring current pleasures for bigger rewards to come. It's loving yourself enough to give yourself everything you've ever wanted.
- dragons
- amazing art
- near endless customisation options, and good options are actually available cheaply
- even though there are rewards for logging in regularly, there are no real penalties for not doing so, and all it takes to get the rewards back is to feed your dragons
- several ways to get treasure, all different
- most of the site activities don't require much thought or effort. i realise that might be a negative for some people, but i don't have much of an attention span, so something i don't need to think too much while doing, but still nets me rewards is highly appreciated. i used to play neopets, where the main big method of earning money was buying expensive items for cheap, then reselling them, which required knowledge of what items sell well, ability to buy them fast, and the attention span to stay and refresh for a while. here, i can get a decent amount of money by coli grinding, which only requires me to do a bunch of clicking and remembering which enemies need a scratch before an elim, or through glimmer and gloom, which requires clicking and muscle memory. both are easy for me, and because i'm actively doing something as i do them, i don't lose interest. they also don't require fast internet or reflexes.
- community is great!
- can still make progress regardless of how much effort i'm willing to put in that day
- making characters is fun
- there's always a project to work towards
- getting the premium currency is actually possible, heck, if i remember to sell stuff, i can get it as a byproduct of making treasure. like, i get that these sites have to make money somehow, but a lot of them don't make their premium currencies so easily accessible. seriously. neopets only gives theirs out on special occasions, or rarely through One game that can be played Once per day, so being able to consistently earn a premium currency is always something i enjoy.

Dragons??? I really don't have a better reason
-dragons pretty
-requires enough of my time to keep me interested, but not enough to keep me from doing other things with my day
-not pay-to-play or even pay-to-get-the-best-experience; you can own a lair full of StarCon Wildclaws without ever touching a gem
-great lore
