Spearmint is a confectioner who makes mints with the plants they grow in their garden, atop a snowy mountain. They are gruff and practical and very serious about their craft.

Wintergreen is a gentle herbalist who works for Spearmint as an apprentice. Spearmint treats him very harshly, but he puts up with it for the knowledge he gets from them. He has his own garden where he grows medicinal plants to make remedies for those in need.

Mulberry is a wine and jam maker who grows fruit in her massive vineyard and orchard. She is very proud to be an independent producer, not tied to any big companies. She is friendly and very self-effacing.

Araceae here is the clan's matriarch and founder, who began as an amateur gardener scratching out a little green life into a small patch of the Sunbeam Ruins. Her mate is an amateur archaeologist, and a wonderful green melding of these two disciplines became the foundation of the clan. She is a sunny and enthusiastic lady, very concerned about the individual happiness of her every clan member (and the plants, too!).
Last year, in the face of... Emperor shenanigans... she and a cadre of her best gardeners and a few of the more vulnerable clan members moved temporarily to the Viridian Labyrinth, to learn advanced applications of the craft. Half the clan, including one of her husbands, is still in Light territory, holding the permanent settlement. They intend to return to the Sunbeam Ruins in summer, with a large addition of new plants, new techniques, and new dragons.

This is Persephone, the night gardener. Some of the original clan settlement, a great deal of it actually, is located inside the Hewn City, in the perpetual dark. Penny tends the night gardens, a collection of fascinating, strange and beautiful plantlife both found and designed to survive in the City's miasma of eternal night. She prefers it there, too, prefers the beauty found in darkness to the golden light of day.

He is primarily responsible for the protection and care of the great oak tree that shades and protects the Wardens' den. He also assists the other gardeners in maintaining the protective thorns that guard the den and the farms that grow their food. He helps to train the other druids in using their nature magic for the good of the clan. In addition to his druidic garb, he always wears a fuchsia like the one that grew when he met his mate Cessiphus.[/size][/columns]
[columns][size=4]One of the up and coming druids that Ceruno helps to train is Lobelia. Though much bigger than her mentor, her skills have a lot of growing to come. She is very dedicated to her craft; she can usually be found either practicing Ceruno's lessons, or more practically helping to prune or weed or otherwise help the gardeners with their work. Even when she was young, she had a love of nature, spending time playing in leaf piles or exploring the farm, or even helping the gardeners out with little bits of weeding or planting seeds. She has since grown into a competent magic-user, though she still has learning and growing to do. While Lobelia was initially worried that Idunn's unusual eyes reflected a more naturally skilled druid than herself, Idunn still has to do all the same exercises under her father's tutelage. The two have become fast friends, helping each other with their weakspots and celebrating their strengths.[/size][/columns]
