Fight in the coliseum, and Pinkerton's Plundered Pile are the first two that come to mind. Do you mean food, materials, apparel or just items in general?

Gather Items, Coliseum (check out A Newbie's BASIC INTRO to Coli if you intend to try this), Pinkerton and Swipp at the Trading Post, and of course buying items from the Marketplace or Auction House. They can also be found in treasure chests, which you can get from Digging, bonding with familiars, and (extremely rarely) Coliseum. Were you thinking of any type of items in particular? For example, food is from Gather Items or Coliseum or possibly Pinkerton, but you can't buy it from the Marketplace, only the Auction House.
