Her heart was beating wildly through her rib cage, so intense and fearful she was sure the soldier could feel it vibrating through the earth. The guardian pressed herself that much further into the mound of ice she was hidden behind when the soldier lifted his head. He did a quick sweep of the surrounding area with his black and white mane flapping around in the icy wind of the southern tip of Ice Flight territory. Seeming to be satisfied with whatever he found, lightning crackling around his shoulders, he took to the air.

Achelois only moved from her position when the powerful beats of the tundra had long since faded into the howling wind. She stood, shaking her snowy disguise from her nearly translucent wings that had been wrapped around her reddish body in the snow to try and make herself less visible. Fortunately, her half-formed idea of disguise had survived the encounter.

Achelois had moved to the icy southern tip of Ice Flight territory when the No-Seer campaign began and only received news on their movements once a month by a kindly tundra dragon who lives in a nearby village. He also occasionally sent her rations to spice up her diet of frosted pocketmouse and whatever might wander into the harsh tundra weather Achelois now calls home.

Or, she had anyway.

Based on the recent increase of No-Seer activity in the area, she guessed they were about to start an invasion of the Ice Flights' territory. This occurrence today was one of many in the past week alone. Her powerful empath abilities had been sensing so much hate from further south that she knew she had to leave before she was caught and used against any free dragons.

The only problem for Achelois? She had no more safe houses left. All she had left was in this section of Ice Flight territory. It was so severe that had half a mind to drown herself in the frigid waters around the territory to prevent the No-Seers from using her. The only thing keeping Achelois going at the moment was the possibility of free dragons or other Those Who See doing a quick check to see if there were any refuges that would be enslaved once the invasion began. It's a stupid hope for her to hold on to; Achelois realized that long ago. But she had no where left to go.

At this point, her thoughts are What do I have left to lose?

Kuma:

What do you call the feeling of being completely empty? Was it misery? Or melancholy? Perhaps it was desolation or anguish? Were there words poetic enough to describe his broken heart? He did not think so. Life was like a twisted theater, where he was simply a puppet being controlled by strings, entertaining those who play the puppeteer in this dark world.

He stared out into the abyss of white, snow swallowing everything in sight. The fridged climate of the Ice flight pulled at the warmth he held, though it seemed to have no effext on him. Nothing ever did. Kuma's predatory eyes glanced across the land surrounding him, searching for anything that could pose a threat to the campgrounds he was guarding.

Why did he even try anymore? It was always the same bland white scenery that coated the grounds. What was the ppint? He new very well that he wouldn't stop anyone from attacking them, he was even wishing someone would. He hoped that someone would come into his monochrome life and change it, whether it be for the better or for the worse. After all, what did he have to lose?

Kira sighed as she moved under the snow, the black runes upon her body being the only thing that gave her away should anyone actively look for her. She honestly had not seen any of what had happened in any vision, and that honestly scared her. The fact that she had lost any and all contact with her clan only made matters worse for her. If it weren’t for the near perfect camouflage, she probably would’ve been caught a long time ago, though that would only get her so far. Eventually, her luck would run out, and she was only hoping that it would be an ally that found her.

Pick strode towards Kuma, growling "Any developments in the scene of snow? I've geen itching to get my claws on some Seers. And some more slaves. The supply in the icefields is pitiful" He spat, claws easily digging in the snow as he scanned the horizon

Jade sighed as she fruitlessly winged through the endlessly blue sky, the scene below her being pure white. Her adopted brother loved this stupid group-how could he? They killed dragons to gain power! They kept slaves. She growled to herself as she dove towards a brown shape below, crashing and tumbling through the snow as the elk she spotted slowly dissapeared "Stupid No-seers. Why did I have to have Pick as a brother" She mumbled as she sat up, shaking off snow as she winged back into the sky

Serania lay miserably in the itchy cot the campground of the No-ssers had provided her. She had been lent of work today-some of the guards couldn't even stabd the cold. But still she felt miserable, her leg aching from her tumble from the cliff ledge that led to her cave when the no-seers attacked-ever since then, shr was a lowly slave to them

Flicking her tail, Nora smashed ice hard with her chained talons, reddish body obscured by a layer of frost. Her breath crystallized as she breathed, and every lungful of air was cold. Shaking herself, she went back to her job: smashing any large pieces of ice so that they could do more things with the land. What kind of things, she didn’t know. The only thing she knew how to do anymore was hate. She hated the No-seers, missed her clan, and hated having to obey. The only reason she kept working was the watchful and cruel eye of the overseer, and she bore scars from previous punishments.
Sighing, she kept on, using her anger as a fuel as she smashed chunk after chunk of solid water.

My hobby is bad things I love
Kuma:

Everthing seemed to grow colder at his presence, like something unholy ascended upon them. Kuma gave the pearlcatcher a side long glance, eyes hardening with displeasure at his words. His body tensed up when Pick's eyes locked onto his form after Kuma said nothing for a while. He clears his throat before answering;

"There's nothing out thete from what I can see, only a frozen frontier filled with lost hope."

With that said, kuma fell back into his void of thoughts, his mind screaming in the silence that hung in the air. How can someone live with all of the lives that they have taken? Or the hell they put others through? He often walked around the placed that held prisoners, the guilt that weighed on his chest worsened everytime he saw them, the feeling consuming his conscious. On the rare occasion, he will try to leave some extra food and water for the prisoners when the overseers are gone, hoping that it would help in the slightest. But everything just seems to get worse.

When Kira popped her snout and glowing eyes above the snow in order to breathe, the first thing she noticed was a pearlcatcher and notcurne. She couldn’t exactly hear what they were saying, but something about them seemed a bit off, even if she couldn’t really describe what that was specifically. If they proved hostile, she could probably escape, though she was hoping that such a thing was not the case.

((By the way everyone, I just realized we should probably say which clan our dragons belong to. In your next post, can each of you say which clan your dragon is in so I can add that to the character log?))

Achelois crept silently through the ice field, tunic billowing around with every gust of tundra wind, as she approached the No-Seer encampment. She had not had any encounters with No-Seers since the day before, so the guardian dragon decided to try her lucky in locating the camp that was sure to be around because of the absurd numbers of No-Seer warriors.

The waves of anguish, anger, and hatred didn't exactly hide the camp from anyone looking. On high alert, Achelois dared to move closer to a fenced off area on the fringes of the camp where ragged, scarred dragons were working. Slaves, Achelois dimly realized. The surge of depression, fear, and hopelessness sent her way by the suffering dragons was almost enough for the guardian to cry out in grief. Their heartbreak was nearly palpable.

Achelois settled for watching the patterns of the working dragons and their overseers. Maybe one day I'll be able to slip a few out of the No-Seers clutches... Achelois pondered as she burrowing deep into the snow so that only her eyes were visible to anyone truly paying attention. She observed how the slave dragons were smashing all the ice mounds in the area, and how one nocturne in particular was practically vibrating with rage as she obliterated every ice mound she was presented with.

Kuma:

He seemed to be stuck in a trance of sorts, eyes glossed over as he stared at the white land before him. His body was still tense and slightly shaking, the cold was starting to take its toll. His brown eyes gave another look at Pick, the aura he gave off was making him uncomfortable.

When he turned his gaze forward again, he seemed to notice a small speck of black glowing quite dully against the snow, he closed his eyes and opened them again to make sure he wasn't hallucinating, and when he was proved to not be his eyes narrowed down on it, slightly curious. He turned his head to the pearlcatcher to see if he has noticed as well, and if he was going to act upon it.
