It's been 5 hours of searching for a stupid desert in Minecraft, were they always this rare? I just need cactus to make a culture vat because mine exploded.

I've never had a problem finding deserts, usually I spawn right in the middle of one and get frustrated cause no wood

That's an ice spiked biome, incredibly rare, I found 3 while looking for a desert.
