There has been a lore update to the Dawnguard Project! I've added new lore about the family's magic, as well as an optional RNG mechanic for determining what types of magic your Dawnguard dragons will be most proficient in. See this new post on the front page for more details! I'm really excited to finally be sharing this lore; it's a set of headcanons that I've had for the Dawnguards since I started the project, but I was finally able to pull it together into something cohesive.

I've added a new line for Affinities to the official Dawnguard bio template reflecting the lore update, although whether or not you choose to add it to your existing bios is up to you. If you want to see what the new layout looks like, you can check Apollon's bio; his has been updated.

The main lore post goes into more details about how Affinities work and how they're inherited, but it also specifies that only hatchlings' Affinities can change and that they become fixed at adulthood. However, since this lore didn't exist when your dragons were born, you're welcome to change the Affinities of any Dawnguards you already have, whether that's by simply choosing a new one to fit your Dawnguard's lore or by using the RNG mechanic.

@Snailshells That's awesome! :D I'm glad you found one you liked, Terracotta is such a nice color with that bright blue accent.

I was glad I could get that new lore out today, I wanted it in place before I hatched Apollon's next nest, which will be on the 13th!
