I have been excited for Alloy ever since we saw the preview, since I have a crims/obs/obs WC who is dying to have a fancy secondary that stays black. And whilst it DOES accomplish that and looks far better than facet, I can't help but be a bit disappointed.

There just seems to be a bit of an inconsistency with the... shininess of the genes? Like I get coatls have more detailed wings and are going to look better, but even as a WC, the difference in detail between the Metallic primary and the Alloy secondary is pretty huge, it doesn't look as nice somehow - it doesn't look like a matching gene set at all?

They just dont look like a complimentary gene set to me. Idk. Metallic has some really nice airbrushy effects, and bright highlights, which alloy completely lacks - except on the coatl f, which looks great and matchy-matchy with Metallic.

Alloy is a total mess wth.
There are some horrible issues with it and the quality isn't the only thing.
This is seriously gross treatment of something that's supposed to be a gem gene.
For quality and presentation I wouldn't even sell it for half of what it's up for base price cause really...
