@Purpleater18 [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=17765909] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/177660/17765909_350.png[/img] [/url] I might be cheating a little here to say Sebastian is a demon, since he's a fandragon and his inspiration is a demon, but I also made him a demon in my lore for him, which granted is heavily modified from the original source. [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=17131459] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/171315/17131459_350.png[/img] [/url] Chernabog [i]used[/i] to be a very powerful demon until he was transformed into a dragon by some unknown magic. He still has a little demonic power, but not as much as he'd like.

My husband jokes that Kurt Wagner is my boyfriend. At least, I think he's joking. But, yeah. I've been in love with that character since I was a kid. He was probably my first real crush. He's so wonderfully written and just incredible -- he kind of a mix between Frankenstein's monster and Fuchsia Groan, and he has a healthy dash of (the non-fictional) Conrad Veidt thrown in for good measure (sorry, Kurt. Not Errol Flynn. You have too much angst.)

Oh man, you're bringing me back to the days when I used to lurk on Nightscrawlers. Aoa and Evo are tied for my favorite versions of him.

I could wax poetic about Kurt all day lol. Kurt... is such a complex character. He definitely has that swashbuckling adventurer dynamic, but he's also quiet, patient, brooding, and romantic... At the same time though, out of all Xmen, Kurt so very, very easily could and should have been a villain. Mystique even said once that the world was very lucky that he was a hero instead. He definitely has some inner darkness, but he tries not to let it hold him back too much. He's just such a humble person despite the hand he's been dealt in life.

I was so upset about the 616 version getting killed off that I stopped reading the comics for a while, but picked it up again in his recent and deserved Nightcrawler comic.

For the sake of keeping it short though, out of all fictional characters that I love, Kurt is the only one that I wish was real, that I could talk to ya know?

I think I read somewhere that when his creator originally drew him, he was meant to be a villain. I think that, maybe, he was just one of those characters that got away from the creator and couldn't be contained (and if you're a writer, you know that all too well).

The fact that he is good, though, adds so much depth to his character. He wouldn't be half as good as a bad guy. I mean, he should be bad, but it's the strength of his character that puts him on that path of light.

Not to mention that he even went so far as to become a Catholic priest. I've always found it awesome that he willingly chose a profession that would possibly require him to perform exorcisms. I mean, being half-demon -- that's so incredibly bad[word that's probably censored on the forums].

And you hit the nail right on the head about wishing that he was real. I've always felt that we could watch old silent movies together. And he seems like the type who'd be into eighties New Wave, so dance party? Yeah, totally a dance party.
