Despite warnings from their elders, rebellious dragons who chew these snakes turn an odd shade of violet before swelling up like a blueberry. Stop, don't... (Special thanks to Trickilicky!)

Bluebite Rattler. : It's venom is toxic, making the bite turn a ghastly electric blue. Also, don't ask him if he has Bluetooth.
Metalworkers from the Ashfall Waste use cold lava and rubies from Dragonhome to make brooches like this one. Merchants like to wear these to show their wealth. (Special thanks to Duveteux!)

Caption: A brooch so flashy it's almost an eyesore.

This rattler's venom glows bright blue when exposed to air. This may be a glowing inconvenience for a dragon if they're bitten, but the beastclans take advantage of its color and use it as a deadly warpaint.

Even better than Baldwin at converting plants to seafood.
Pleco root themselves into the silty sediment of streams. Even the heaviest of wading Snappers can not crack the hard scales that cover the Pleco's back. (Special thanks to Jackaloped!)

That Polar Wooly there is almost like the wooly Wooly Bear, except the Wooly Bear doesn't have as wooly hair as does the very wooly Polar Wooly over there. (Special thanks to renlav!)

[sub][s]Name: Polar Wooly
Caption: The summers of the Snowsquall Tundra are so short it can take a dozen for a Polar Wooly to enter pupation. A cryroprotectant lets them survive freezing solid.
159 characters when I tested it.
Also a bit of an aside but Woolly as in 'Woolly Mammoth' is spelled with two l's, not one. I am not sure if that was intentional or not.

Rather than trying to hide, its gorgeous scales often fascinate fishing dragons, making them forget they wanted to eat it in the first place. (Special thanks to Spiral!)
