I totally dig the new inventory chest thing, as an old player who makes a tidy sum off retired items. This site always makes me happy with their innovative solutions.

They can't really do anything about the promised retired items so I think this is their way of fixing a problem that they see for the future, while remaining true to their promise of retirement in the past.

Will have to wait and see how things turn out, but the spare inventory idea sounds like it could be promising.

Yep, sounds like it. Not to spark The Eternal "Re-release super old retired items or not" Holy War, but looks like they're standing firm on "items that have been prior labeled 'retired' will not be reintroduced " standpoint, for better or worse! Take that as you will.
