He's got quite the backstory, too! Being born with Gembond made it nearly impossible for him to fly, and to stop the gembond from affecting his health, his clan used magic to stop his growth.
Irritated by the restrictions forced on him, Oberon attempted to fly despite everything he had been warned about. The gembond was too heavy for his small skeleton to keep airborne, so he fell into the waters below and eventually made it to shore, then wandered into the Wandering Contagion. It was there he met a Guardian named Shale, who took Oberon under his wing as a son!
