A "ping list" is simply a list of users who have asked to be alerted ("pinged") by @
ing their username when something specific happens. Simply label what the list will be pinged for - new hatchlings, adding new pairs, etc. - and wait for interested players to stumble on your hatchery.
When other players ask to join a specific pinglist by commenting on your thread, you can add their username to the specified pinglist(s). I recommend pinging them when doing so, both to notify the user that they've been added, and to make each list easier to copy/paste when you need to use them.
A hatchery typically has a "general" pinglist, which is pinged when you make any notable updates to the hatchery, and unique pinglists for each individual hatchery pair. For example, when you have new hatchlings from
Disco Party to sell, you would ping both the general pinglist and the
Disco Party pinglist.
Just add a new reserve post, and list each pair's name as well as a "general" pinglist. For an example of how this looks,
here's my hatchery's pinglist. We also have a distinct "New Pairs" pinglist, which is pinged alongside the general list whenever we make a new pair.
