I've heard of people using discord for images but apparently it broke at some point. Does it still work?
Also, would people be able to join the server / find my disc account / etc. with the links? (which i dont want to happen)

I use Discord for image hosting for my art shop here in FR, and the images still work just fine. I believe you can only join Discord servers with an actual invite link, and I haven't found any way you could join from an image link.

No one would be able to join your server or find any of your account info with an image link, so no worries there. I would however recommend against using it as a permanent image host. While as far as I know the images have been staying there forever, there's really only so long before they have to start purging some since Discord is a messaging service rather than an image hosting service. I would recommend using imgur instead - you can use it without an account and it's pretty simple.

I think the main thing is just put the images in a secure place where they won't get deleted. most of the images I use are hosted on discord (usually in private dms/a small server) and I've still got some here that are a year or two old
