Want a Sprite Cranberry?

Wow, they did surgery on a grape!
@SurgeryOnAGrape

What do you want to do?
  • Level two fodder with one trainer?
  • Level one fodder with two trainers?
  • Grind for loot with only level 25s?
  • Which venue would you like to grind in, the most efficient or another pick?
  • Do you have some specific dragon(s) you want to use?
  • Do you have eliminate, would you buy one one if you don't?

I favor the Culex build guide, but it's not best for everything, nothing is

It depends on what you want to do in the coli and what elements your dragons are when you start. Choose wisely!

For leveling up your first team either follow EeveeDream's Sedona or Duke's guide by Culex. The first is slower but doesn't require Eliminate.

Consider what you want to do--level exalts, grind, or both. Specialty builds are best for leveling exalts and grinding but for general dragons who do both either the Sedona build or a 133, 129 or 126 build works. You can see more builds here where Pyatiugolnik has collected them.

Redfoot's Guide shows what elements work best in which venues. Below the Crystal Pools element doesn't really matter and above it the double-fodder trainers and GW builds are most sensitive to it.

I want to live in Theory. Everything works there.

Have you checked the Gem MP for Gene and Breed scrolls before buying an AH listing from me ending in 5g?
@SurgeryOnAGrape

Breed doesn't matter - most builds require using a Tincture of Dissolution anyway, so the slight differences in starting stats and stones aren't relevant.

Element does matter for later venues. But a team with a Water and an Arcane dragon (both fighters, not mages) should cover your bases, regardless of what you want to do.

If it's taking a while to level up your dragons, or you want to try out some builds, you can rent a dragon from the Plague rental thread here.
