I know this may be answered somewhere not sure where or if their really is something like this being questioned but I have a few questions.
Does the items you transmute have any effect of what is made
I am lv. 4 in alchemy but I can't get any slime, or muck or even the gray of any kind be it goo, ooze, slime, muck, or sludge. I just can't get it. Even yellow barely comes out and I find it annoying that I have to go a whole day of trying to get yellow before it decided to come out.
I have used materials, food, and other but seeming as I have very few (2) battle items and 0 familiers (have 9 but I am keeping them as they are with my dragons) and so I don't do anything with them if you can do that anyways. I find doing that to familiars a bit harsh but that's me being weak hearted.
That's it for my main question but I may add more if someone answets and I want a bit more details.

Kaname123 color is completely random and item rarity doesn't affect anything, but the category of item you put in will give you a certain type of transmutation:
food = goo
materials = ooze
trinkets/"Other" = sludge
familiars = muck
apparel = slime
the only grey color is Grey Slime, the most common apparel transmutation (the others are White Slime and Black Slime). food, materials, and trinkets all go on a green -> yellow -> orange -> red -> purple -> blue rarity scale with green being the most common. muck goes from Copper to Silver to Gold.
if you're short on some mats, you could always check the AH. a lot of mats are actually pretty cheap, though the greens, Grey Slime, and Copper Muck jump up in value for festival weeks as they're used in Baldwin brews.
